Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was passionate about music. The music she grew up with was traditional Boleros from the past as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive vocal training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Then, she enrolled in the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After moving from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo of traditional Latin American music at private events. Alongside being a local performer and instructor, her love of art and music has her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana is also a past participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to Inland Master Chorale members for allowing her to perform the traditional Latin American song.
